‘One Man’s Trash’ – A Workshop by Liesbeth Plettinckx

NEW DATE 09.07

Liesbeth Plettinckx is a designer and professional crafter. Most of all she loves working with textile and experimenting with repurposed materials (and sometimes even plain trash). From 17.06 till 09.07, she will demonstrate the potential of trash in a special handmade window display.

During this informal and cosy evening workshop, Liesbeth will inspire you to turn everyday trash into a covetable treasure. Plastic bags and ribbons can be found a-plenty in the streets surrounding our little store. You will learn how to cut and crochet them into a one-of-a-kind reusable bag. Nothing will go to waste, you might even use the leftovers to craft a little extra gadget.

  • No experience needed.
  • We warmly encourage you to go on a little scavenger hunt beforehand and bring about 5 found plastic shopping bags. Liesbeth will take care of crochet hooks, extra material, a drink, and many tips and stories about the feminist history of crafting.
  • Thursday 07.07 and Friday 08.07 are fully booked, but we’re organizing an extra one on Saturday 09.07 from 13:00-16:00Reserve your spot online and proceed to checkout.
  • The workshop costs €20 and is to be paid on the workshop evening, cash or by app.
