PEK Pottenbak is the playground of Antwerp ceramist Caroline Coenen. From her favourite red clay – ‘oerklei’ as she calls it – she composes vases, tableware and even sinks. Her designs are functional, timeless and pure. The shapes and glazes are inspired by ancient designs just as much as by happy accidents.
Caroline’s soap dishes are hand-built, which allows for a tactile quality and small imperfections that make each one unique. The dish stands on four little feet and has three drip holes so it doesn’t turn into a swimming pool. Its size fits most standard soap blocks.
