Lutgart De Meyer ceramics exhibition, March 2020

As one of the founding members of the Antwerp avant-garde movement G58, Lutgart De Meyer dedicated herself to ceramics. Soon she got recognized as one of the key figures establishing the artistic autonomy of this medium. Throughout her life, she experimented with various media, sourcing inspiration and material in daily life. At the start of 2020, we were honoured to get the chance to exhibit six of her timeless vases and sculptures from various phases in her career. ‘A River in A Room’, the book about her work compiled by her friend Liesbet Waegemans, quickly became a store favourite.
