A little while ago, we were approached by Rue Blanche with the invitation to create something together in the run-up to Mother’s Day.
Rue Blanche is a Belgian brand born in our birth year 1987 and nowadays run by the founder’s two daughters Astrid and Aude Regout. From their Brussels headquarters, they design timeless collections with a French elegance and keen attention to clean cuts, durable fabrics and refined colours.
We happily dove into their collection for Spring Summer 2024 and took inspiration from the colour palette to propose a limited edition handmade paper flower. We developed two colourways, reflecting the balance between light and dark, classic neutrals and playfully summery tones that characterises the collection.
We’ve created single stems, as well as ‘flower stones’ with a twin flower. These stand entirely on their own and are a bit more sculptural, with the roughness of the stone balancing out the fragility of the flower. The flowers can be found for a limited time in the Rue Blanche boutiques in Antwerp, Ghent, Bruges and Brussels.
When you pass by the Antwerp boutique, do have a peek at the first giant flowers we’ve made so far! Something we’ll definitely explore further for future occasions.
Merel from Rue Blanche came by to take our portrait and have a chat on all things Wilder and the collaboration process. Find more pictures and read the full interview on the Rue Blanche journal.
